Sorry if this has already been discussed but I saw Fu said after the game that he called the famous timeout not to freeze the kicker. He said he wanted to make sure the guys were aligned correctly or the right package was on the field. Well, if that was true, and he wasn't trying to freeze the kicker (which only seems to give the kicker a practice attempt), why didn't he call it as soon as the previous play was over? Me thinks he realizes that he was a moron to try to freeze a kicker for such a long FG. My next question is, "what the heck they did discuss in that TO?" Shouldn't they have been worried about Liberty throwing a quick out? Of course, even if they knew that was coming, I'm not sure VT's defense could not have done anything to prevent it. The defense seems to be getting worse and worse every game with opponents wide-open, missed tackles, etc.
