I would be for Torrian Gray over Shane Beamer as HC

Both have pretty good coaching experience resumes, Gray had a one year in the NFL so that only helps. Being honest though I simply don't want Shane as our head coach. I was really impressed with everything Shane did before his time at VT, and after his time at VT. But if we were to hire him here I honestly think he would walk in the door feeling entitled. Because honestly thats what I saw when he was here. I can't believe no one else saw it, or maybe some don't remember? He seemed kind of like a brat to me. I totally understand that a lot of that had to do with the criticism his dad was taking, but I honestly think Shane simply isn't capable of being accountable in Blacksburg the way he is at other places. If he were to land the gig at USC-E one day. He would totally feel the hot seat if he weren't doing well, and work his tail off to right the ship if its doable. However, I think if we hired him we would have a very adversarial relationship with our HC the minute we criticize. When it comes to us Shane doesn't have a chip on his shoulder, dude has Mt. Everest sitting up there. Because well...his father made us, and he'll never let us forget that if we criticize him. This is of course just my opinion, but when it comes to VT the words "buyer beware" come to mind when I think of Shane. But I honestly think the guy will continue to be successful....just elsewhere.
