Thus, he lost his position job and only served as recruiting coordinator. That is when Cheryl convinced Frank to bring him home. Things did not go well when Frank pushed Billy Hite out to make room for Shane, and even worse when he was named Asst HC over Bud. His time in BB was rocky.

He was given this year consideration bc he was the son of another major college coach. Do some Google research if you don't believe me. Dive in to some Roanoke Times interviews with the Beamer Family (at the time) and one can read the tea leaves very easily. Combine that with what was readily known around the Dept and it's very easy to see what happened.
