Salem's Eddie Joyce and Bruce Arians are the three of the more recognizable QB names. However, that squad had some other familiar family names including Beasley, Houseright and Scharnus to go with Phil Rodgers, Ricky Scales, Billy Hardee and others. Alabama ran it down VT's throat and when Wilbur Jackson is your third most productive back it tells you how deep they were. I think Jimmie Taylor averaged something like 28 yards a carry. That win still makes the Tides list of all time signature victories. Hell, Richard Todd even went over the 100 yard mark. It was a very long day for VT players and fans alike.
