I was just reading an article marking the 25th anniversary of the last football season played in the Southwestern Conference. For those who don't know or don't remember, the last conference champion was Texas (10-1-1, with a loss to ND and a tie with Oklahoma). What happened next for that Texas team? A New's Year Eve, 28-10 loss to the boys from Blacksburg. A monumental win and a great memory.
