They only hit the schools that have talent. Sometimes other long tenured coaches tell the truth about a recruit. The old staff stopped by schools to talk about kids from other schools or just to say hi. They kept a relationship. I work in a large school system. I have not seen one VT coach in this school since BS. I notified the staff of a D1 DB - no response. We have 2 D1 OL/DL no response yet. The school is less than an hour. I am not a coach, now. I love VT athletics. The recruiting has to get better. They don't have to sell VT to many players. They do have to show they are interested.
