I understand there is early season bias, but we're a decent bit into the season and he has Duke rated 24 and Va Tech 29. This makes no statistical sense.

VT (10-2) has twice as many wins as duke, with wins over Clemson (9-1) and Villanova (9-1). VT also beat Duke head to head. VT's only bad loss was a blow-out from PSU.

Duke is (5-3) with NO WINS over any team with an above-500 record. In fact Duke's wins are against teams with a combined 15-33 record. VT and Duke's only shared competitor is Coppin State, which Duke won by 10 and VT won by 40.

My only conclusion is Ken Pom ratings take historical seasons significantly into account until at least half of the season is played.
