Womens Swimming drops back to 4th

Louisville surged past us. UVa is first with 1047 points and just dominating. They had 5 of 8 100 fly finalists. NCSU in second with 879, Loservile with 683.5, and VT at 578. What really hurt was not a single finalist in the breast. We had a good showing in 400IM and 100 back.

100 fly: Karisa Franz was 15th and Joelle Vereb was 21st
400IM: Reka Gyrogy is have a great meet - third in 400IM with a nice 4:04.77, Nadia Gonzalez De Oliviera was 16th
200 free: Sarah Shackelford was 9th and Loulou Vos 21st.
100 back: Emma Atkinson 4th, Carline Benz 8th - I think this is the only event where we had two A finalists
100 breast: shut out - I think we had someone prelim around 26th
400 medley relay was 4th behind Uva, NCSU, and UL

Today is 200 back, 200 free, 200 breast, and 200 fly. The women should probably hold steady at 4th in a really, really good ACC lineup of teams. Don't know what to say about Uva. They have had some stunning performances and have a very good shot at winning the NCAAs. VT is doing well but has some holes to fill, especially in breast. The improvement is there, and there were really good performances by freshmen (Larsen, Atkinson, Bentz)
