Well, the long ball is the NC State philosophy

NC State Coach Patrick-Swift, who is in her third year with the Pack, has been very vocal about bringing a “home-run mindset,” to NC State.

They even tweet out homerun stats when at home that includes speed, distance, angle, and time in the air of each Pack home run.

I'm not sure it's the best hitting philosophy, but it is certainly their deal so we'll see how it plays out.
