Here is what I noticed in the Marquette game:

1. For the first game all season, every player on the team seemed to be focused on the task at hand and was serious about it! They never got too high or too low no matter what happened, which helped us not to panic in the end when Marquette was getting prayer after prayer answered.

2. Baines was the unsung hero in this game, plus King's rebound at the end and free throws.

3. Amoore has developed fast and that is really scary for her future if she is already this good as a freshman. Her development literally changed the season around for us in my opinion.

4. Sheppard was off probably because of injury, but she was a leader and never showed frustration over being off. This is a team that doesn't care about who has the shine as long as they get the win.

5. Kitley is getting better and better, especially passing out of the double-teams. The kid absorbs basketball knowledge like a sponge. She is only a sophmore and Amoore is just a freshman. Imagine us having this combination for at least 2 more years. Having a dominant post and point guard can do wonders for a team.

6. You can tell that this is just the start of something special. They don't want to just get to the NCAA Tournament and lose in the first round. I think the next step for this program will be to get there consistently and to reach the Sweet 16 again.

7. Baylor is probably going to be a really ugly game, but it doesn't matter in my opinion because we made the statement we needed to make and it is now time to take this program to the next level with consistent success. Hopefully we can get a higher seed and avoid 1 and 2 seeds in the future.

8. Watch out ACC, we are coming and you are not expecting it! A team that operates together as one unselfishly like this team can beat teams that have All American players that may be selfish looking out for their own gain. Don't underestimate the power of a true team!
