Trips to Syracuse have historically not been kind to ANY of our teams, 2000 football notwithstanding (and even with Vick, they made us sweat it out). The athletic facilities up there are one boneyard after another littered with excruciatingly painful VT losses.

I really don’t want to be a pessimist but it’s kind of hard right now to think there isn’t some kind of curse out there. The sequence of events that have conspired to defeat this team since Friday are pretty uncanny.

When the ND pitcher Holloway (who we can all agree in a completely complimentary way is quite petite/slight of frame) hit a game tying homer off of Keely in the 7th on Saturday, that did it for me. It explained Friday and it later explained Sunday.
