vaccine is killing people (falsely) so many people refusing to take it. The vaccine there is primarily a copy of the AstraZeneca one. They took it too lightly last few months, even saying they were mostly immune to it as they had a younger population etc. (have family there, heard it all from them). I have people that report to me in an office there as well, asked them how they were doing, people using masks in elevators etc, and they pretty much stared at me blankly as I were talking gibberish, and then pretty much said it was over so people are relaxed.

As for coming to the US, it is a possibility especially with people traveling. There was a study on a flight from Mumbai to Hong Kong, everyone was tested 72 hours before, once they arrived tested again, 52 were positive. So either they faked those tests (very likely a possibility), the tests had a lot of false negatives (another possibility) or people got sick in those 72 hours. Hong Kong enforces a 3 week quarantine in a hotel, so they caught them.
