I was fortunate enough to take the Dale Carnegie course in high school,

through Junior Achievement in my area. If it still exists, check into that. I'm still an introvert at heart, but that course REALLY brought me out of my shell as far as public speaking and general self confidence.

Also, DC is (or was, I think) a 15 week course. From what little I know about toastmasters, they go on for a lot longer, right?
