Hokie Golf Preview - Week 19


Johnson Wagner is back on the main tour this week. Playing the Wells Fargo in Charlotte. He has played Quail Hollow 12 times, making 6 cuts, with a best finish of 13th in 2018. He is currently 226th in the Fedex Cup.

Both Drew Weaver and Trevor Cone are in the field for the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation at the Grove in College Grove, TN. This is the first trip for the Korn Ferry Tour to this course. Weaver is 117th and Cone is 126th in the points list going into this week.

Scott Vincent is playing the Japan Players Championship at the Nishi Nasuno Country Club in Tochigi. He is 47th on the Japan points list and is 45th after the first round. He is 55th (out of 60) on the olympic qualifying list, with a world ranking of 245. The first golfer out is Ashun Wu of China with a world ranking of 301. The cutoff for qualification is June 21st.

The Symetra tour is off this week before returning next week in Davidson, NC.
