I didn't like any of Dalton's movies for various reasons.
Hence why I ranked him equal with Lazenby and Niven. Niven appeared in spy parody version of Bond along with Woody Allen, the original Casino Royale, which was a really really really really really really (did I say really?) bad movie when you consider the fight scene towards the end of the movie included Cowboys and Indians.
The only reason I didn't rank Niven last is because I did read the books which inspired me to become fascinated with WWII spies. As a result, I would watch anything that talked about that subject matter and I even took the time to research into the "great spies" from that era. The one thing I started to notice is a large percentage of them, maybe even the majority, seemed to have a physical presence which closely matched Niven's physical presence. I was surprised by that since Niven seemed to lack that certain "something" which appealed to the audience for whatever reason. Also, I had this vision of what I thought the physical requirements of a spy are, particularly when he/she has been compromised or needed to escape trouble, and Niven didn't strike me as the type who would be able to handle the physical demands.
