It seems like the storyline for Craig's Bond is more darker
than the previous Bond movies. While the storyline for Connery's Bond was more lighthearted which is consistent with the MO of movies from that era. What I mean is if any of the "main characters" in the Connery's Bond series found themselves in "danger," then the audience didn't think any of them would die because Bond would have always found a way to rescue them or he would have found a way to always escape if he was ever in danger. That assumption and "security" changed when it was decided to kill Judy Dench's version of M instead of simply replace her. If M could die, then does that mean Moneypenny and Bond could die too?
