Okay, I'm really now starting to think Crypto is gonna crash/correct soon..
One of my buddies called me over the weekend, told me he was going to jump into crypto, because his 16 year old daughters boyfriend had already "made" $10,000 with Ethereum. My buddy is going to buy 4 ETH and use the "cant lose" gains to fund his new garage construction.
So he bought them yesterday, and this morning he already sends me a text saying he's already "made" $900 since the buy. He jacked up about it.
Now, I'm happy for him if it goes up, awesome. But this is the kind of guy that will tell me of every single gain the price makes, and while chatting on the phone, just interrupt me with something like, "Man, I'm just so glad I bought that Ethereum. It's been awesome." And then keep reminding me that I "Should have gotten in" when he told me about it. Everyone is the smartest person in the room when it's going up. (This is just what he does. He's always sincerely telling me how "happy he is that he bought that Haas CNC machine", or that he "Can't believe the deal he just got on that Antique lathe.") His crypto journey is going to be mind-numbing when I chat with him now.... sigh.
My point... This feels like the hype train is reaching just far too high.... Friends telling me of their can't lose strategies.... multiple posts on the lounge every day about crypto(which yes, I take part in).... Time will tell... and I'm not sure what the catalyst would be for a drop, if there is one, but with some of the coins, it only takes a few whales to sell to trigger an avalanche of sell orders and all of a sudden, they reach the floor again. The Tech of platforms like ETH and ADA will most likely keep their value strong, so I am in on them, just conservatively. But for the love of all that is good, keep your portfolios close to your vest, don't get too high or low, ... and don't tell someone what they SHOULD have done based on hindsight. Nobody wants to hear that.
