I won't be surprised to see LHN transition to streaming only


The question is not whether the Longhorn Network will continue to exist - I think it will, in some form - but rather, what sort of inventory it will be able to carry. Right now, each Big 12 school controls its own Tier 3 rights - though most other than UT and OU have signed those rights over to a single entity.

It's going to be interesting to see whether even the B1G and SEC networks will sustain themselves as cable channels versus streaming. There may be an argument that the latter will be the more valuable method in the not so distant future.
