Ok, now that I’ve stopped laughing at your first paragraph..,
Merida in July is mid 90’s essentially every day. It’s technically the rainy season, but that doesn’t necessarily mean rain every day. Important to remember that most homes in Mexico do not have central air. At best they gave small wall mounted AC units. At worst, they have ceiling fans or oscillating fans. No home I ever lived in had AC. The houses don’t get as hot as you’d think since they are typically built out of cinder blocks and have no insulation.
On a separate note, Mexico kind of sucks. I would not recommend living there. Crime is rampant (petty crime and organized crime), Medicare covers nothing there, private hospitals will keep your passport or not let you leave until you pay your bill, gas is obscenely expensive, law enforcement is corrupt, government is corrupt, schools are corrupt, roads are bumpy and poorly maintained… and no good iced tea. I am sooooooooo happy to be living in the U.S. now. They just started vaccinating 50 and up. They should finish vaccinating everyone by 2023 or so. I may be exaggerating a little, but as someone who lived in Mexico for 13 years, I would NOT do it again willingly.
