Can't do it with Texas, otherwise why wouldn't Clemson demand special deal

You open Pandora's Box if you start letting more schools have special deals. People consider ND to be a special case and are willing to look the other way. I don't think conferences are wanting to start treating big name programs differently, that would create a mess. The LHN is a mess for the Big12 now. If Texas gets a special deal, then what about Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Ohio St. etc... Let ND have their deal, but it is too big a risk to start writing deals for other schools.
