Interesting field… Maryland and VCU both made NCAA regionals - Szefc’s and Elbin’s former teams! In Virginia so did ODU (a #1 seed), UVA, Liberty and Norfolk St. Yes, some of these Va teams got in via easier conferences than the ACC. And ACC regular season approach this year likely hurt VT.

But other Va teams in tourney plus VT’s uninspired play for 5 straight ACC weekends are noteworthy and could affect recruiting
