Hokie Golf Preview - Week 24
It looks like golf worldwide is ramping up as there are 11 events occurring around the world.
Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge are both playing the Palmetto Championships at the Congaree GC at Ridgeland, SC. This is a new event that is replacing the Canadian Open this year. Wagner is #214 in the FedEx Cup, and Brendon has yet to score this year.
The Korn Ferry is also in the Palmetto State at the BMW Charity Pro-Am being played at the Thornblade Club in Greer, SC and Cliffs Valley in Travelers Rest, SC. The final two rounds will be played at Thornblade. Drew Weaver and Trevor Cone are both in the field this week. Weaver has appeared twice with a 15th in 2019 and 48th in 2016. Trevor Cone has a missed cut and a T68 in his last two visits.
Amanda Hollandsworth is at the Sweetgrass GC in Harris, Michigan for Island Resort Championships. This is her third attempt at making a cut this year.
Scott Vincent announced on his social media that he is headed back to the U.S. for rest, family time and prep work after 8 weeks in Japan.
