Good Research......this case will be interesting to see how it plays out...


it will take a total moving parts effort on behalf of the Angels, and their other picks as well, as those picks will have to pitch in (for a lack of better term) and come off their slot value ........It will take a coordinated effort and sacrifice for some of the higher picks (especially rounds 1-6) to come up with the money needed, as it will have to be significant. It will help the Angels if some of the guys in the top 10 rounds were guys without any remaining eligibility left as they can dictate to them a little more. I think I read the Angels had approx $9.2 in bonus pool money..... And as you noted, with the example in 2019 getting $925,000, Albright was ranked a fair amount higher than 159, so that should probably give everyone some reference point of what they will need to come up with.......again, unless he changes his original target point......fortunately, the rest of the incoming class should be in tact, including the Dean kid, so we should have good pieces coming in.....fun business model to watch play out......
