My last 6 months at the Consular Agency, March to September 2020…

we accepted 0 applications because we were working remotely, and I wasn’t going to receive passport applications at my house. My Agency averaged 5000-6000 applications per year prior to that, a drop in the bucket, but more than any other Consular Agency in the world (total staff was 3-4 people in an office the size of a food court Sbarros). That drop in volume was worldwide. So I can buy the current backlog.
