Just another reason I want to see VT in the AAU, but it's secondary to the academic wishes.

We are a huge research university, with more research dollars than several current AAU members now. Hopefully we'll make it in the not too distant future. Frankly I would like to see more ACC schools in the AAU. The B1X has so many because they consist of large public research universities (and NW) with large research grants.

Can't remember, but I think UVA, UNC, Dook, and GT are the only AAU members in the ACC. Pitt may also be in the club...
