I say that at one end is Equestrian, with a super small percentage of the world’s people ever exposed to it, to gage interest and performance…. If you are decent and have some coin for a good horse you have a shot.

On the other end of the scale? I say: running events. At some point in EVERYONE’s life, you have run and been told or recognized on your own whether you were good at it. Huge number of people (entire world population?) in playoffs in effect through middle school, high school and college. I say if you win gold in a running event then that’s a bigger accomplishment.

Having said all that, I would tattoo the rings on my forehead if I qualified to be an Olympian in ANYTHING.
