Looking at the ACC schedule

By the end of the day on October 16th, the Coastal could all but be decided in a bad way. UNC will have played 6 conference games including the two top Coastal contenders, Miami and VT plus an interesting game against FSU, Virginia, GT and Duke. Meanwhile, back in Blacksburg, we will have only played 2 ACC games (UNC and Pitt). Miami, likewise, would have only played 2 ACC games (UNC and Virginia). Makes winning the opener that much more important.

It looks like the ACC got the upper hand in scheduling the 2021 games against Notre Dame. VT, Virginia and UNC all have an off week prior to playing the Irish. Meanwhile ND's week off is before their game with the real USC. FSU kinda gets the prior week off since they play ND in the opener. Only GT has a game the week before playing Notre Dame. The Jackets have a brutal schedule that includes #3 Clemson, #5 Georgia, #9 ND, #10 UNC and #14 Miami.
