Why is there so little curiosity around Jim Delany's return to ACC

Why is there so little curiosity around Jim Delany's return to ACC territory? It gets occasional mention, but not much interest. On which subjects do we think he is "giving advice?" Media contracts are not in-play for a good while. Mundane details about conference administration, ticket sales, scheduling, even The Alliance would not warrant such high-level firepower.
Am I the only one who thinks there is something B1G in the offing? Jim could not be formally representing The Big Ten Conference, and he is no longer employed by them. But he ain't here just for the barbeque.
Discussion of the media payout discrepancy between The ACC and the Big Two is generally dismissed as unfortunate, but something we'll just have to live with for the next 15 years. Well that discrepancy is about to become so wide as to become debilitating for the members of this conference. Suppose the next round of media deals for the B1G and SEC produce payouts in the $65~75 million dollar range. Can the ACC and the PAC keep up? Colorado, last season lost their football coach when Michigan State hired him away at twice the salary and allowed him to bring his entire staff, also at double the pay. Say goodbye to Dabo.
If you are the president of a university in the ACC and you have an opportunity to add tens of millions of dollars to your athletic department every year by changing conference, you would be negligent, derelict, plain stupid not to pursue that opportunity. Jim Delny may be here to complete the job he started when he poached Maryland. He really wanted Virginia and North Carolina. Those two states are obviously coveted by both of the rich conferences.
The B1G specifically wants UNC and UVA because those two fit their academic profile. The SEC wants those same two in order to keep them away from the B1G. The SEC really didn't add very much to their geographical footprint with TX/OK. They were already established in Texas with A&M. They are counting on the strength and national reputation of their many top football programs to drive TV viewership. But the footprint of the B1G is still as strong geographically/demographically as the SEC, maybe stronger. ESPN's national advertisers demand to be seen in the B1G footprint, which is why the B1G still earns more media money than the SEC. The only remaining bone of contention between the big dogs is Virginia/North Carolina.
Is there a solution to the GoR puzzle? Lots of money would have to change hands. If there is a way, I'll bet JD will make it happen.
