Spit balling this.... There are 10 FBS conferences

Therefore, if you use the CCG as a play-in (20 teams) you can do a 10 team playoff. Not beneficial to ND but that idea is interesting. Won't happen because the Big and the SEC will want multiple teams and of course ND.
