There isnt a specific percentage...


It has to be a feel between the player and the staff. Some coaches have a tighter leash on some players. Some players just go through a slump and need to shoot their way out of it.

If youre a normally capable shooter, you need to keep shooting. Whereas if youre someone like PJ Horne who is making a high percentage but everyone knows youre not exactly Steph Curry then youd pick and choose your spots.

Id pay less attention to the stats as a coach or player and more attention to the feel of how youre seeing the rim and the rhythm of the game.
