A few thoughts.
Guys like Carlton Carter and Trevor Thompson were good enough to play if utilized appropriately with a cast around them. Both those guys played on some pretty average teams if my memory is correct. Also, Carter transferred from Colorado and Thompson ended up playing at Ohio State after Buzz ran him off. They had enough talent to contribute.
I think Wessler is a bit different cat. He has plenty of natural hoops skill and already knows he needs to work on foot speed and a few other things. I am excited about him. As someone that was in school and around Jimmy Carruth a bit, who had a 10 day cup of coffee in the NBA, this kid Wessler has a ton of potential on a MY team. I picture a 3 to 4 year contributor that ramps up minutes and skillset.
