Teams played 12 innings and VT won 9-1.

Meredith Slaw continued to be on fire, going 2 for 2 with a HR and 3 RBIs.

Grace Chavez and Morgan Overaitis also hit bombs. Jayme Bailey was 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Cameron Fagan had a couple of hits and is swinging the bat well. I’m sure I’m leaving folks out.

Pitching was as follows:

Ozzy, 3 innings, 1 hit, 4 Ks
Ivy, 3 innings, 2 hits, 7 Ks, 1 run

That’s 29 Ks in 12 innings 😳😳😳

I will say it again, though - these are simply scrimmages and the important piece is simply getting the ladies playing time against outside competition.

Still hard not to be excited about what I’m seeing.
