I really think Coach D'Amour "gets it"

I will be the first to admit that I'm not objective, because he has been really good to me in providing insight and access.

He doesn't have to be accessible, but he wants the fans involved with the program, and he wants people to take pride in Hokie softball.

That doesn't happen if you keep everyone at arms length and operate in secrecy.
