There is no comparing the talent levels. As much as those charts show the differences in offensive output, if you think about the talent level then compared to now, especially offensively, it's staggering.

That has been Fu's shortcoming. He's not recruiting enough top end ACC level talent into VT, and it is showing up big time. Tre' Turner is ACC talent. Not sure Burmeister, or any quarterback we have seen this year is good enough to make that show, though. You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

I believe the talent isn't there to coach up to ACC championship levels, and that means I have to add my voice to the chorus of ones that want to see him go. And that is a shame because this year's recruiting will be devastated unless an attractive replacement is named and early enough to make a difference and keep a lot of this class together. Fuente finally started getting the attention again of some of the better Virginia kids and supposedly has a couple of studs on the way including a running back. VT cannot afford to lose those top end kids.
