Next Contract Up
The Pac-12 is in negotiations as there contract is up a year before the Big-12's. Which is why the Big-12 is waiting to do much more to see what the Pac-12 gets in their deal as that will set the new market value. Kliavkoff is trying to shop the Pac-12 network, which is a disaster. It made 113 million in the last accounting and had running costs of 90 million, leaving just 23 million to be split 12 ways. Kliavkoff thinks it is worth a lot more but beyond a handful of minor cable outlets no one is barking. ESPN wants to roll it into their deal and if so, the Pac-12 is looking at 38 million per school per year with an annual bump of a few million each. Unlikely that there will be any finalization on this until March or so of 2022.
