That is not why the Big-12 was not in the Alliance


Texas and Oklahoma are still officially part of the Big-12 but also have one foot in the SEC and the purpose of the Alliance was too oppose the SEC. Would be odd to do that and have two quasi SEC members in the Alliance.

Both Iowa State and Kansas are AAU members. More than good enough.
