Before you punch your computer please read in entirety. A few thoughts. Some on here hated the idea of Huff because he wasn’t a P5 head coach, yet was the Assistant Head Coach at Alabama and in several big P5 jobs. Now some are anointing a guy who has never been a coach in any capacity at any P5 level, until this year. He’s currently an assistant DL coach …with James Madison and Marshall on his resume. Some were crushing Huff as just being a gifted orator but that didn’t matter, that doesn’t win games….now, 1 decent 30 minute presser and this is the guy to run your P5 program. Ok, now that some of you hate this take, I concur, JC did a darn good job at the pc and his passion for VT is special. He might just be another Dabo, who knows. I don’t think he’s known to recruit well but I did like his love for the players. I don’t even know if he’s a really good position coach (more research) but if he is, I hope the new head coach considers him to stay. I think being at VT is his dream and that does matter to me. He will work hard to stay IMO. I know I’ll be hammered for these opinions but I just want what is best for VT football and VT as a whole. I do expect an inspired team for the next 2. There was a certain IT factor to him. If you didn’t hate on the huff/Napier stuff but just want an impassioned Hokie running the show then plenty of respect for your opinion. I doubt we go this way for HC but just my thoughts.
