hopes he can develop from 3-star to 4 and 5-star players. It hasn't been working out as well as he hoped. I feel the same way about Tech's women's lacrosse team. They are similar in recruiting. What you've said about Tech women's soccer (being slower and less athletic) is what many say about Tech women's lacrosse. I honestly don't expect women's soccer recruiting to get much better. It always seems like Chugger signs 1 or 2 Top 100-200 type players every other class with a lot of 3-star recruits. He needs to use the transfer portal more than he's been using.
