VT was not going to win all their games. The reason you schedule these games is to affect your team physically and mentally and to assess what you have. Vt has a more formidable schedule and more challenges ahead.
Memphis has a great NBA Coach on the sidelines in Larry Brown. They have had the number one recruiting class two out of three years. They are so talented they probably do not even need Landers Nolley 2. So VT lost by 8 in a game if everything went right, they could have won but in the meantime this will make them better.
