We had a chance to go bowling but didn’t. For me, the bowl streak isn’t the bowl eligibility streak. It’s the bowl appearance streak. It that sense, it ended, at least for me. For the record, of all our streaks, it’s the one that meant/means the least for me. I’m happy to see us in a bowl, happy to see us get an extra month of practice, happy to see us play someone we normally wouldn’t. However, going to a bowl does not a good season make in and of itself. This year ended on an awesome note. We finished with a win over our rival against all odds. JC Price is coaching the only team he wants to coach. Change is on the horizon. That makes it a great end to the season, not the bowl bid alone. Look at the Hoos, same record, going to a bowl, but the end of their season was awful for them.
