They treat this NFL thing like it's the lotto and they might get lucky when the chances are super slim they a) make a team b) stay on a team past the spring. It's really hard to tell someone you love the game when you won't play at every opportunity. I get it that this is generational and the money can really change lives. But I'm just grumpy that these kids are attending Virginia Tech and not coming out smarter about the real world. The list of former players that have learned the hard way is long enough that VT could probably parade them in and explain the importance of a degree after football.
