I've said for YEARS that bowls should be moved and made as preseason games

guarantees decent games to watch early in the season.

It would allow those schools to start practice earlier a bonus for qualifying

Make them not count against r-shirt eligibility and give coaches a chance to play younger kids without penalty.

Invite graduated seniors back as guests (i.e. a free trip).

Likely get better attendance from fans as that is a time of year when people actually travel rather than in December when most people don't travel.

And most importantly, it opens all of december up for an expanded playoff system
