Actually yes, Viruses don't really want to kill their hosts...


not that they think a whole lot about it. Keeping the host alive and happy gives it a better chance of it getting spread to other hosts so the milder yet more contagious version of covid out competes the deadlier versions of itself. Gets there faster, does less harm.
