I thought ESPN wanted to save money and part of

the ACCN deal was to have the universities provide the cameras/video replay so ESPN didn't have to bring down a truck/van. Then after the Covid season ESPN thought they could save even more money if the announcers did the games remotely. No travel costs (plane, hotel, food). I think this began even before Covid. I guess ESPN and ACCN only bring in announcers for "big" games. Tech provides announcers for the ACCN+ streaming games.
