Maybe he thought he had a shot at Pitt


There are other schools with Seniors leaving and no real backup to come and play next year. QBs came to Tech thinking Fuente was a QB guru, and he tried to kill each of these throwing guys by making them run the option too many times. Evans, Brewer, Jackson, Hooker, Patterson, Willis and Burmeister, I believe, wanted to be passers, and each bolted because of the beating they took. All but Patterson got hurt too
