This is true. K drives me crazy during games but he’s a total
Class act. He goes back to West Point almost every year. Makes his team watch what life at West Point is like. Has them sit through the day at the institution.
He also does alot in supporting the Army basketball team.
He does a lot more in the Durham area.
It might seem like sometime he is the grumpy old man and yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. But very often he is very complimentary of opposing players in post game pressers. He often gives them praise and advice after games. Sometimes he might deliver a message that is critical but is done with good reasons. He wants those student athletes, even on opposing teams, to be better people.
I’ve obtained these opinions from two friends that have played for Duke including one who was on two nattie teams at Duke in the 1990s. I also gave a close friend at Army who says K is world class.
I think they’ll be some good books on K and his leadership once he’s done. Hard to argue with his results.
