We aren't built to close out games
Last night was similar to Duke in that as soon as the the Hoos turned up the screws and took away our #1 option (Keve) we were in trouble.
You don't close out by firing up contested jumpers. When Keve got doubled on the baseline the lane was open for a "downhill" player to finish or get to the line, for easy points. But we really dont have the guy to do it. Here's hoping Rice can be it or Pedulla can grow into it, or we can find a big long athletic wing in the portal with finishing skills. .
