There is no reason to leave the NCAA since they are going to have the power


to set their own rules.

So much is what is going on is ESPN trying to maintain the exclusive on the playoff and reducing the number of teams that will pay out at tier 1. They want to pay the SEC, ND and select other schools in the P-5. However, so far they have not been able to do it. If the SEC had been able to wait until after the September Playoff vote to announce Texas and Oklahoma, John Skipper's master plan to end the ACC would be likely. However. they poked the bear and the one roaring the most right now is Jim Phillips. Also, the PAC and B1G want to hold on to the Rose Bowl as their game for the playoff game, thus the Alliance has some teeth, at least right now.
