Most here had high expectations...
this season with all the preseason hype but reality has set in. Mike Young won 58% of his SoCon games over 17 years. He had 10 winning seasons in those 17 years. He made 5 NCAA tournament appearances. We have a team that is starting 4 players who came from mid-major basketball programs and Alleyne who is in a major slump. To CMY's credit, he did recruit with Keve Aluma. Our starting five would make a good mid-major team that would probably win their conference and be ousted in the first round of the NCAAMBBT or more likely make the NIT. If there's any consolation, Mike Young did improve Wofford's program over the years. He made the NCAAMBBT 5 times in his last 10 years at Wofford. I guess we'll all know in two more seasons if he'll remain as Tech's men's basketball coach. Looks like the NIT if they can remain over .500.
