Actually from a very big picture history perspective

IMHO it is pretty good.

It's been 30+ years since we've had a party get multiple candidates in a row (same person for two terms is different) as president.

Only happened three times in well over a generation, and two of those were only because the president was unable to continue in office and the VP took over.

It appears extremes on both sides fuel the flames and failures of the other side, then the centerist's screams (who will actually change their vote) allow us to put in a backup QB to try something different.

I hope for all our sake this continues - there have been very, very few times in history that a single party being in control of a government for an extended period of time has been good for the overall populace, and changing to/from that type of long term government is rarely a good event.

Gone far as I can (and this may be too far, sorry Will) without violating TOS.
